We just happened along this old wagon in Eastern Oregon on our way to another camp spot. I was anxious to get to our destination and noticed this view and just drove on by. My wife is never one to let an opportunity go by. After a couple of miles she slyly looked over at me and said, are you going to keep driving and let this one slip away? As you can see, I always listen to my wife.

After camping for two days my wife and I had packed up everything to head for home. We stopped to use the restroom and noticed this little fox. I retrieved my camera from the van, expecting the Fox to vanish before I returned. He was still playing around some foliage and very inquisitive. I shot quite a few frames before he became bored and left. A really nice way to end a camping trip.

This was one of those lucky moments in photography. We were camping at Takalak Lake near mount Adams in November. My wife excitedly woke me up very early saying she walked down to the lake and had never seen such beautiful colors. I hurriedly put on my pants and jogged & hopped down to the lake as I was still half asleep. I shot a few frames before the clouds turned to dusky-gray in a matter of seconds.

Randy Hutchison > The Humes Ranch cabin was built around the year 1900 by William Humes. William Humes was originally from New York and arrived in the Elwha River area enroute to the Klondike. William, his brother, and a cousin liked the area so much they set up homestead sites.

I first camped at this spot when I was eleven years old. I have a fondness for the Olympic National park, probably because I grew-up near by in Port Angeles Washington. I have good memories of the park and all the hikes and picnics I experienced growing up.

This required some patience from me. The fisherman was quite a ways down the lake. I waited, which seemed like forever. Finally he rowed into the correct position and I shot one frame.
